A Mother's Heart Poem by Cindy Wyatt

A Mother's Heart

A godly mother's heart
is with her home and children
though some may mock and say
She's just an old mother hen.
She longs to care for her little ones
every morning, noon, and night
and with every new word or new thing learned
she ponders it with great delight
The children carried under her heart for nine months
she can never forget
and when they are growing up
she doesn't want to miss a single little bit
To her it is worth it all to have less wealth
and material things
just to have the great joy that
raising her children brings
To see her children come to know Christ
is the greatest blessing of all
as God rewards her for being faithful
to her motherhood call
