A Mothers Day Poem - Poem by chantelle ribeiro

Thank you for giving me life
For nurturing me as a child
Protecting my innocence
for as long as you could
For imbedding in me
the will to fight
the values to survive
To understand at last
my true worth
Thank you for giving me class
Teaching me how to be beautiful
To see in myself
what you always saw
Thank you so much
for being my mother

It was hard to write this at first - my mom and I were never close... But they say with age comes wisdom... As I grew older I understood more and I saw my mom for what she was. A phenomenal woman... Thanks mom! (Report) Reply
