A New Beginning Poem by TR Jones

Right now its Thursday night
And my future is looking bright
On this day I hope for luck
Not the kind when you find a buck
But the kind when you get the girl
And you decide to give it a whirl
I can come away from this two ways
Sad and sulky and alone for days
Or finally happy and completed
Because the pain has been defeated
So bring on this big day
All that is left to do now is pray
Praying has gotten me this far
It has brought me this star
Now all that I want to do
Is to be with you
