A Peaceful Footbridge Poem by Pamela Storch

A Peaceful Footbridge

A peaceful footbridge on the stream,
A waterfall beyond,
The weeping willows swaying,
Like the harp strings' timeless pond,

The willows sway like pendulums,
Hypnotic is the breeze,
Relax into the tranquil scene,
Let go and feel at ease,

Yet do not let the hands of time,
Come knocking on your gate,
Go past the peaceful footbridge,
It is only half past eight,

Enchanted flowing greenery,
May open now the door,
Now shorten time eternal,
And be timeless evermore.
