A Poem About Depression

dark days feel like they haunt me like a ghost who is lost in this world
a darkness puts the candle light out the sun is gone
people become a question without an answer
a choice that gets questioned is it right or wrong
a path leads to destruction of the heart and soul
a love that feels like a lie
a fairy tale wrapped in glass slipping through my hands
the past haunts me like a 100 year old abandoned house
the demons claws dig deeper and deeper as the devil smiles
the chains become tighter the air hard to breathe a weight holding you down
dragging you into darkness the you cant see the light
the voices grow stronger the games become harder
the fight becomes tougher each day
all you wish for is a sunny day the demon to go away
before the demon takes over spilling blood
the more i fight the more chains i feel like keep adding

depression isn't easy to cope with anymore
i get days i want to give up
but i fight till my last breathe
dancing with the devil is like a dance that never ends in your head
only i cant escape the dark room
a hand a person to save me everyone left me in the darkness
