A Poet's Salient Soliloquy

In the quiet of the night,
When the stars are shining bright,
A poet sits and writes,
Crafting words that take flight.

With a pen and paper in hand,
The poet weaves a magic strand,
Creating tales both bold and grand,
That captivate and demand.

The words flow like a river,
In a symphony that makes us quiver,
With emotions that make us shiver,
And thoughts that make us ponder.

The poet's heart is on display,
In every line they choose to say,
Their soul bared in every way,
A work of art in its own way.

And so we read their words,
And feel a connection like never before,
For the poet has shown us a world,
That we had never seen before.

So here's to the poets out there,
May your words continue to inspire,
For you are the dreamers and the seers,
And the world is better for your fire.
