A Prayer Lost? Poem by Pat Breese

Today i walked along the lake so my mind could unwind.
all i could think was i haven't prayed in a long time.

I couldn't even think of the words to start with to pray.
the only thought that came to my mind was you today.

I prayed that our hearts, souls, and minds would intertwine.
its been along time but that's what i prayed for in my mind.

Sometimes i wonder why we give are hearts, souls, and minds to others.
I guess like prayers you just let it go and hope there's someone there who cares.
