A Rainy Night Poem by Keith Sutton

A Rainy Night

I am fascinated
by naturalistic wonders
like lightening
and thunder
and rain.

It all comes from above
Is it real?

I see the lightening.
I hear the thunder.
I feel the rain.

I even taste the moistness
of the soil as the rain
hits the ground.

And tonight I
experience all three.

But you are sleeping
my love
my life partner.

And it’s never the same without you.
