A Rose And A Dagger Poem by azmat naushad asif

A Rose And A Dagger

You kill me with a rose
The thorn pierced and peeled
My skin and flesh
Scarred and scared
Was I

Naive and vulnerable
You found me
Now I will find you
My fleeting Judas

Damage done
You leave
With a smirk
Triumphant

Licking my wounds
Like an animal
I was to become
I amass myself

The ruin, shredded
Pieces of me
Bit by bit
Drop by drop

The pain
Chiseled me
I allowed it to
Simmer inside me
And burn me into ashes

Because from that womb
Of dead ashes,
I will arise,
A new born
Phoenix

I then fluttered my feathers
Flapped and flew
To the very heights I could attain
To the very depths I can stoop
In search of you

Voila!
I find u
Engrossed and
Indulged in yourself
Somethings,
Never change

But a huge change
It was for you
As this time
You found me

A rich prized possesion
A trophy to display
An ornament to wear
A crown to honour

'Let the Coronation begin'
You said
And at that
Moment precise
I kill u with a dagger
