A Scripture For You Poem by Marqese Dabbs

A Scripture For You

I'm writing this scripture for you
I will no longer shroud that is felt inside
If the puzzle piece fits I will play the game
Can I make this love stay intact
As I walk across the plain to hand it to you
I love you
I've made it through every vision and plagued memory
With everything I can, shed light onto life
I can not describe everything you mean to me
I would just cut my lips
But I'll try to rise from every sense
Making a decision that call and last
When the day and night comes
Will you stay and love me
With every breath and fiber you possess
Have I earned it from hope and faith
Feeling every curve around your face
Pressing upon each kiss, every motion of the body
Wanting something beautiful
