A Second Chance My Victory? Poem by Kumolu Damilola

A Second Chance My Victory?

The room inside an ant
populated by the root of Jesse
how do we survive in this?

I choose my way, my method
my intuition, my power, my strength in
akinbo, the trust in canality, oh my struggle
but a while and pleasure a blink.
I got some medals, courage did i gain more
but i lost the battle.

My strenght is bruised
My knowledge is now a question,
intuition blackmailed me
strength left my table
wisdom made me stumble
at the audience of foolishness
drugs now my indisposable ally,
cash my former slave has gained
independence, she now lives next door

a criminar now a subpoena to crime
how i wish this cup could pass over me
but not my will but the will of the FATHER

I lost strength for drugs
I lost knowledge for fear
I lost intuition for wandering
I lost cash for beging

yet I know the sorrow may last for a while
But joy cometh in the morning
mercy prevaileth over judgement
HE hath given me a second chance
My chance of victory
