A Secret Place Poem by Katie Figueroa

A Secret Place

Rating: 5.0

A hidden gully, majestic pines, and wispy alder
Centered a sparkling pool, straddled by a fallen cedar.
A mountain oasis, my secret place
Where squirrels gather nuts, a seasonal race.

Mountain lilies, whimsical mushrooms meander below the trees
Solf scents of musk, pine, and cedar ride the gentle breeze.
God's presence purposely lingers.
His love my heart does fill like His praise singers.

Sweet peace envelopes me there.
Melodious melodies of love to God the birds do share.
His presence consumes my being, drawing me near.
Creation hushed in concert. His precious love, so dear.
