A Silent Cry Poem by Danish Sarfraz

A Silent Cry

Star of Eve going for shopping
Unawareness a fact of chopping

Amma Baaba glad at home
Unknowing building my tiny dome;

cleverly trapped, a mad Bear
my thousand tears and endless fear

screaming from the gut of soul
begging bipeds all of all

Time then halted with the Darks
the Walled-room badly barks

I am the voice of all innocents
Remained unheard, broken in fragments

Z-A-I-N-A-B, I was by everyone
butchered Flower with vicious fun

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A Seven Year child was rapped, molested and killed in my own city, Kasur, Pakistan. It was extreme of brutality and viciousness. Many people, including me, remained restless in those days and i was forced my inner self to writer and pen down this poem.

Very impressive and heart touching poem...seems to be a spontaneous outpour of the poet...
