•A SOLDIER NEVER DIES•
If I fail to return,
Tell the kids a warrior lives on
Be the Dad, be the Mom
Over me, never let them mourn.
Tell guns to sing my praises
Let the sun shine
Upon my boots and its laces
Let the bright colors of this land be my shield.
Let salutations slide the moody winds
Let a thousand feet strike the soil
Upon the gates of my new base.
And if you get called a widow,
WoMAN! Tell your callers;
A soldier never dies.
