A Somber Sunday - Poem by Michael P. McParland
It's a somber Sunday here my dear,
I feel so tired and worn out sitting
here in the quiet all alone.
As I go about doing really nothing
I wonder sweet one how you are doing
and hoping you are having a good day and smiling.
I hope you are my sweet Angel because I want
for you to always have a reason to feel
so splendid and peaceful.
I'm having a somber Sunday but am sending you
every last bit of my warmth and loving.
Just sitting here my sweet dear and wondering
if you are okay and know I'll be with you
by your side everyday all through time.
I'm praying that you know how much I appreciate you
and cherish you as my Queen and my Angel.
I pray that you do not have tears streaming
and that there is no reason for you to be crying.
I'm just having a somber day and am feeling so
sad and lonely inside.
Know that I love you and I'm always here,
I miss the sound of your sweet Angelic voice
and the softness of your beautiful face.
It's just a very somber day my sweet dear
and I'm so badly missing you,
just feel my hand in yours to give us both comfort,
I adore you so much and wish I could hold you close.
I'm thinking of and praying for you always my dear
and please reach back sweet one and help
give extra comfort on this somber day.
