A Sonnet On The Occasion Of Betrothal Of A Pal Poem by Ramesh Iyengar

A Sonnet On The Occasion Of Betrothal Of A Pal

A Sonnet on the occasion of Betrothal of a pal

Fair moon thither so gently pass
Chill breeze sweeps blows with ease
A pantheon of stars far distant
All seen as sheen of diamonds neat
Beneath a dark, asphalt sky above
Two souls to be tied as tails of dove
Men, women and aged of sides either
Bride, groom and all come together
Doth thee hear not chimes of heaven
For the couple's betrothal to convene?
Dear pal Raja, Prista, heaven's choice
Get wedded you in unison do rejoice
benedictions from this poor, poet hence.
Who sends forth his verse in absence.
