A Sweet Nights Sleep - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Goodnight my one and it's time for
a sweet nights sleep to recover from
the tiredness and exhaustion we feel.
Let's go to bed my sweet Kira and snuggle
so very tightly feeling comfort
in each others kind, loving, and reassuring arms.
I miss you sweet lady and being with you
will be my heart and souls recovery.
To just snuggle with you through the nights
is something only you'll understand
and will help heal both of our hurting hearts.
It's time for a sweet nights sleep
and I don't know what to put on and listen to.
Nothing sounds truly moving or good,
I just need that tiny escape
being here in bed all alone.
If you were here by my side I'd just
pull you close and listen to you talk or read,
anything would be okay as long as it's
your soothing calm voice.
It's time for sleep and I need something
that will take me away to the right place
where we are happily snuggling in each others warmth.
Feel the happiness I send to you
when I shortly find it.
You will know it when I do as I will send you
the peaceful happiness so you can smile with me.
Goodnight my dear one and it is time
for a sweet nights sleep,
I promise I will be with you in spirit.
You'll feel where I'm at and then just snuggle close in,
rest your head on my chest as I so
very tightly in comfort and love pull you in.
Know I'm always with you
and my God bless you my sweet little Angel,
my Angel with the biggest heart so full of light and love
and you deserve to receive all of the true love I so long to give.
Please don't push me away again
just know you deserve and can have true happiness to,
I so long and want to give it to you,
I'll always stand by giving my full loving support.
A sweet goodnight and I'll send you my dream
of us snuggling so we can share its brightness as one.
I'll be holding you close giving sweet endless kisses
as we share caresses saying I love you sweet dear from heaven.
