A thought invades my idle mind
And not wanting to be unkind
I pause it to examine it
I fast forward it and rewind
And O so slowly motion it
Then I juggle it, upside downed
Then after that sideways around
And then I force its outsides in
And its insides out of its skin
And smash it to tiny bits
In order to discover its
Nature but unlike Humpty Dumpty
It regroups and eludes me as it flits
O so freely and triumphantly
Like a butterfly from my mind
Knowing that nothing did I find
