A Town Made Of Glass Poem by Celeste Botha

A Town Made Of Glass

Alive,
In despair,
trapped in a pool of misery.
Far beyond the unknown.
Quietness along the streets
Shatters under the sheets.
Glass shard floors;
All the crackles from
feet bleed on glass fragments.

As light as a feather;
As warm as the sun.
What else did you expect from
a town made of glass.
Built upon lies;
No justice in sight.
What else did you expect of a fragile little heart.

A fragile little heart like mine.
One with wonders and dreams,
One shattered for fun.

One full of love and hurt.
One who got another one.
What else did you expect from a fragile little heart.
Her and her partners
Both in the same room.

Her partners is just as hurt.
Alone, Alive and free.
Trapped in cages of misery.
Her partners heart
as strong as gold, as loving, as kind, as fun.
Their hearts total opposites.
Their love always grows.
Their happiness always together.
What else did you expect from a fragile little heart
With glass and gold.
What else did you expect from a town made of glass.

This poem was opened into my heart explaining the hurt from love, how much it meant and how alike hearts can be but never meant to last. Contribute to my dad how much his life meant to me.
