from the sun above and the earth below
is nothing
but bitterness,

If I could invert this rainbow
while this sky begins to blush
in the hundred shades of dusk,

to learn about Korean cooking.

But I do know

I have turned my back years ago
on the smoke of joss-sticks
and the ashes of joss-papers

Waited for hours
Beneath the night sky
For your fair countenance
To beam before my eyes
...

Men sure have it easy
Thinking I'm a robot
Who has all the answers and solutions
To every household problems
...

I believe in God.
I believe in the God who called me
out of my homeland,
out of my father's household
