A Veil Designed To Hide Poem by Riitta Gyllenbogel

A Veil Designed To Hide

A veil
designed to hide
a woman's beauty
fails to do its duty
for I find
it turns me on

of course,
I'm not a man
so for all I know
in their minds
the veil does not
desire sow

still
even men
surely can see
what my eyes tell me
a woman veiled
is sensual
indeed

funny
isn't it how
beauty always lies
in the eye
of the beholder
desire
in the mind
of the thinker
