A War Through All Poem by Celeste Botha

A War Through All

A dream.... A nightmare.... A thought
rushing rivers
twisted trees
gloomy mood
A campfire lit... A campfire spread

A dozen hearts broken
much more lost
Endless sirens... shouting...planes
flying over a residential area

A cursed human race
a state of survival
covered by a bushy blanket

Fear
A hopeless cause
none end fighting
over something that could be shared

How many causality's?
A fire flickering in the night
A droplet falls from a heavy cloud.
I'm left cold
like my heart now that
I'm alone in the world

---Based on the war in Ukraine---
