A Wasted Chance Poem by Neera Lollbeeharry

A Wasted Chance

For fear of facing a heartache,
She left the feeling unexplained.
He had no courage to give it shape,
So they kept it silent, and pained.

She craved his love and courtship,
But he left it vague and kept aloof.
She preferred to call it friendship,
And take it light, her heart rebuke.

They parted with an untold tale,
A wasted chance, unsorted pain.
Till now the pain has never staled.
They suffer, alone, for love, in vain.
