A Word In Your Ear Poem by Michael P. Johnson

A Word In Your Ear

A WORD IN YOUR EAR
Treasure, worth more than jewels and gold
God's Word stands firm and sound
Bearing much fruit when freely told
Like seed in fertile ground

Mysteries of old, The Lord will share
His Holy Wind, will blow
The living Truth He will declare
Will be as virgin snow

Too long man's been the devil's tools
Deceived, twisting our mind
Robbing God's Word, until like fools
We stagger round as blind

But when God pours His Morning Dew
When Christ revives the dust
With health true wealth we'll rise anew
When in His Word we trust

God's same, created Heaven and earth
The same paves man The Way
The Truth will lead to second birth
And life without decay

Always, God's Word remains the same
As true as days gone by
Healing saving in Jesus' name
Spoken through you and I

Although The Word we've come to hear
Though Truth has been revealed
Too few have learned God to fear
And in God's Christ are sealed

We must arise Christ flesh to eat
Consume The Truth He'll give
Accept the wine at Jesus feet
Drink each our cup and live.....
