Aaditri my love
she walks with the tides
on the lofty banks of the Brahmaputra.

Aaditri sings
Aaditri brings
a hymn to the world
for her lovers to dream.

Aaditri sings a long lost prayer
of love and life
for her lovers.

she had many
many over the years
none like the one
who stole her tears.

Aaditri sings
Aaditri dances
her heart heaves
with the flow of the river Brahmaputra.


Aaditri beckons
for the gods
to listen
her hymn of joy
her hymn of sorrow
her hymn for a long lost friend.

of how one night
the raging Brahmaputra
took the life
of a love so true.

a love so pristine
a love so strong
that no bonds
can hold
the heavens and the earth
for her together,
no more!
