Abubakar Poem by enne aig

Abubakar

Abubakar the book trader

A former community leader now has fever
An enemy has climbed his rock solid fence
He has to meet him and give him what he wants
He dear not let him drop on the floor within his fence
Such workout will incur an angered complement

He has to act the main arbiter in this game of words
He must secure the stolen roots he gathered from the farm
The roots now expressed as companies, houses and monies
He must trade the books even on behalf of his co-farmers
And his neighbor that he has come to lock with his conscience

A strange woman has come to his house with her books
Now he must ask the forefathers to plead her course
Keep her secure and share the loot she took from the race course
Even if her womanhood has to go round the course
For the godfathers, such is take home pay
Added to the part of the farm that is cut for relay

Abubakar the book trader
The farm you plundered when you were done
Has a hole no one has been able to cover
Even the workers you left to tender the deep
Are in the process of being found out
Not even your neighbor can secure your hideout

A community leader in my country
Is busy manipulating the system
