Acid Attack Poem by Dr Arshia Sheikh

He threw acid on my face,
Once he wanted to embrace.
He burned my desire of living,
And now, he expect that I should be forgiving.

You burned my body, you burned my soul,
But, I am hurt by my friends more.
The negligence of society is killing me,
The rejection of my life is drilling me.

I learnt to live my life with physical pain,
I don't want my life to go in vain.
I am a survivor, I will live with dignity,
You will cover your face for your malignity.
