Adunni (Love Poem) Poem by Victor Adex

Adunni (Love Poem)

I see men hovering around
Sweating and bolstering to make you smile!
Like the ants invading my moustache
For imprints of sweets you left on my lips

Their voices whispering appraising beauty of you
Hope the heavens are not bankrupt
It seems you emptied it's glittering vault
As before you now, all angels are flawed

Long ago when the world was made
The roses red and the skies blue
The unmade beauty did not fade
It was reincarnated in you

The ovals along your curvature
Are magical accentuations of majesty
Fireflies steal you spark for light
Butterflies race to the petals of your lips

Beauty within and grace without
Let the heavens rejoice and earth will shout
For In a world where value is scare
I have found the one after my heart

Now let us fall into the craters of love
Consumed in the volcanoes of passion
Let us battle for a spot amidst the stars
With our escapades of love!

Adunni
Let the rumblings of our hearts
Be a feasting of ours
And of the gods

Borrow your smile for the sun
Lend your tears to the rain
Watch flowers spring across the plain
That much you're beautiful, that much and more

Adunni
come dance
To the rhythm of my heart
Letting your anklets jingle to its thump
Like the songs of nature
The beads of love glittering along your waist
Journeying the stride of your thighs
Slaps single singles senselessly senseless

But beauty is shallow and smiles soon fade
When storms some and waves swell
Will the ship of our heart-lock still stand?
Like aged cackles of the Beatles band?
