Africa Motherwomb Of The Earth Poem by Bounce Edet

Africa Motherwomb Of The Earth

Rating: 5.0

I'm Africa the mother worm of the earth
With so many heros without head
The land with so many deaths
The centre of the earth
The oldest but are world's third
Africa the strongest but careless
Who try to love themselves but mindless
Of their true nature and their quest
They call their neighbors and make them guess
They came and choked our culture and make us feel we are not there

I'm Africa the land of beauty
We like to act the same but lack unity
Blessed with natural resources without industries
Being black does not make her White's property
They subdued her and subjected her to slavery
Forcing her to accept this fate of penury
Despite her struggles Africa is still under slavery
My Africa the land of possibilities
Colonial masters came and make themselves our majesty
Taking her females and young ones as their personal properties
This horrific experience can never cease in our memories
They offer her freedom and took away her unity
They share her location and keep her in papertual slavery

Africa the land of my dream
They new her unity will have make her a good team
They destroy it and make it seems
As if she is the worst place to team.
Someone should wake me up if this is a dream
Even till now, the Africa of our dreams is still a dream.
