After Buddha's Departure Poem by Pradip Saikia

After Buddha's Departure

In the darkness of the record room
One cannot see another

Swim in the pool of tears
Self possessed in ones own face

For this bioscope
Eager
Mad
Longing
These earthly people

In the ink of self portrait
Soaked for entire life

No one sees another
You also know
O grass-doll
The future of ruined sculpture

A shadowy evening of the studio
No one will see one's own face

After departure of Buddha
The pendulum will stop
In the scary scene of the drama

All misty mirrors
Will be shattered
