After Heartbreak, Their's Always Strength Poem by ice johnson

After Heartbreak, Their's Always Strength

I settled with a broken heart in a room with no door
I was going crazy to taste my first after heart breathe
Will I live again like I always have?
Will I see my dreams come to be?
I don't care what love's done to me as long as I have my dreams I'll be alrigt.

Though the things you've done to me still play over and over
I can take it yet bleed
It's ok
I'm ten times the survivor I was then before
I can outlast any storm, make it on the other side and live again

I can smile with the sun shinning down
I'm not letting you take away the life god gave me
It's my life not yours

I loved you more than any girl and I would of made a great lover
But instead, love wasn't on your heart, it was what came with it
I respect that so I'll step right past you just like every man

and I will rise above and take what's mine and I'll be alright.
