“after I Said It” Poem by Lisa Visor

“after I Said It”

Rating: 5.0

After I said it
And couldn’t steal it back
The words took on a life of its’ own
Addressing abstractions of all my wrongs
The absence of my faith
Linger lone
In large spaces
Working against patience
Against time
The words rush out
With a careless tumble
All of me exposed
