After Midnight Poem by Jordan Aston

After Midnight

After midnight, when the bell strikes twelve
Into the darkness many animals delve
If you're out at midnight by god it's a sight
You experience the wonders of beautiful night

After midnight, when people do sleep
There are others awake who may just creep
Creep about without the slightest sound
As they observe their surroundings, take in what's around

After midnight, people tell a tale daunting
A tale of ghosts and their very own haunting
This time of night has an unparalleled reputation
Where people think animals undergo transformation

After midnight, where it's a brand new day
Not a beam of light seen, not even a ray
It may seem dark but somewhere there's light
And if you stay long enough the shadows may just get bright
