Aftermath Of Wendy And Pan Poem by Juan Carlos De Santiago

Aftermath Of Wendy And Pan

I still have your Christmas present,
The one from last year I mean.
I think you might still have mine,
That's fine.

We'll swap next time I see you,
though it's been a year,
So I'm not really sure
when the next time
will come down the line.

I started to play that uke that you gave me,
Getting pretty dang good at it too,
I Guess you can watch me,
If you ever come across my videos on your "for you"

I also started writing some poetry,
years of angsty emo bangers showing their authority.
One step closer to that musician day dream,
now all that's left is writing a melody.
Just in time for punk revival,
guess you'll miss my musical Odyssey.

I always told you I'd be a famous singer one day
"america's next top Idol"
For some reason, you said I'd make a great entertainer.
It's funny if i'm honest my first poems
were the texts to you, if you recall
The ones I'd send during our first years together.

If you're ever able to stop hating me,
maybe ill see you at a show.
Though I'm not sure if hate is the right word,
might nonchalance be better?
Can't say I know since we haven't really talked,
although,

Radio silence is clear to the letter.

For now all i have are these letters to you
that I grow through,
Although I've grown, moved on,
leaving us in the past,
I know i'll always have a part of you
with me to guide me too, and,
When the weather clears up,
I hope what remains are fond memories
of Wendy and Pan.

Although we left Neverland
and the lost boys,
Wendy grew up
and pan became a pirate,
can't deny.

My happy memory remains,
the years of joys as your first choice,
And don't forget,
It's never too late to remember how to fly.
