Algebra Poem by Robin Rodriguez

Algebra

Oh! Algebra, I cannot count the ways that I hate you!
Is it all your rules and principles?
Or the word problems and the organization of information.
Perhaps it's the way you make me feel,
Queasy, tired, angry, and frustrated,
Ready to tear my hair out and depressed.

Or maybe it's the fact that it takes me
Hours to figure out your problems,
And just when I think I have you figured out;
You throw a cork wrench into things
Breaking apart our fledgling relationship.

All your twists and turns take motion
Sickness to a whole new level.
Algebra, oh, algebra, I hate you so! !
