All Grown Up Poem by Lau Jane

I find it amazing as we grow and we live,
we do not understand where we are untill we look upon the past.
We see where we have been and what we will give,
We notice what has changed and what will last.

THe place we grew up and why we wont go back,
because of our memories we dont want to be changed.
If we go back to the place we grew up the images will go black,
Of what it was like and dreams will be disengaged.

We have this image in our life of our perfect childhood, all flaws forgotten.
We have images of places, people, mysterious and great.
We want to keep these images not have them changed to shayness.

When you look on the past and find that point in life.
When you realise you hve grown up. You have achieved what you wanted.
You have been all that you can be and you have found a partner in life.
Someone like you, who wants the same things as you.
And likes you for you. with all flaws attached.
When you have reached that point in life you realise.
You are all grown up
