All I Hear Poem by Sarah Anne Masotti

Yelling,
that's all i hear,
everywhere around me.
Why can't I conquer this fear?
This pain,
it surrounds me,
and I can't help but shed these tears.
I'm full of pain,
but I keep begging for more,
I can't close my eyes,
the darkness,
it keeps calling my name.
I know that it's killing me,
and I know that it's poisonous,
the best of me,
and what I say.
I don't want to believe,
so I keep telling you,
telling you these lies I lay.
