You said I suck, and it hurt.
But I didn't want to argue so all I said was 'Thanks'.
You said I was a liar, and that felt like a stab in the back
But I didn't want the war to start again,
So all I said was 'Cool'

You told me to grow up,
But I didn't want to say it back
So all I said was, 'Same'
You said I needed to fit in to follow the crowd.
But I didn't want to be rude, so all I said was 'I know'

You told me I need to be more skinny
But I agreed so all I said was 'I will'
You told me I was to skinny
But I didn't want to cry so all I said was 'Ok'

You said 'You're mean', and it hurt.
But I didn't want to argue so all I said was 'Thanks'.
You said you wanna talk, and I hated it.
But I was done so all I said was 'No'.

I couldn't say goodbye until the very last moment.
But I didn't want this to go on, so all I said was 'I'm done'
You said can we talk about this,
But I was sick of you so all I said was 'Funny. You always seemed like the type of guy to stick around. Then you turned around and left. So no. We can't 'talk about this' it's already been spoken about.'
