All In A Day Poem by Joseph M Donatelli

All In A Day

I did not see the storm starting to spout
But what I heard was louder than a shout
The whipping words turned me about
Verbosity filled the air and fell apart
As it tends to do when a grievous mouth
Spews nasty curses throughout the house
That fills my mind with awareness of how
Paining is the virbiage in and out

Quiet returns the steaming air clears
Blood pressure lowering sheath spears
Emotions returning to calming words heard
Tension released forget the ordeals tears
Another explosion suddenly turned cheer
It's over and will be absorbed disappear
Behind memories forgetting ability bears
The past covers over smoothing here

The breeze whispers a serine feeling
Through hallways and rooms of healing
The air in the house stands still building
A peacefulness where nothing is moving
Our thoughts turn to gentle reasoning
Remembering the purpose of our being
Which is to experience a love so freeing
That we are always contented in living
