Alone (1) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Alone (1)

Mankind feels lost this side of Light
Alone and bound to sin
Wandering through the longest night
Till Jesus comes within

Through medicine, we’ll seek release
Through wine, we’ll quench our thirst
But Adam; lost our inner peace
The moment he was curst –Gen.3: -

With fire! God closed up Heaven’s door
To Adam; and his seed
We don’t know what we’re searching for
Yet know we have a need

Down deep inside, its God; we seek
We seek, but few can find
For in this world, the flesh is weak
And to the truth, quite blind

Yet still the search, goes on and on
Still blind, through hearts of stone
Until we find God’s Lamb & Son
We’ll always feel alone

Can lonely walls be broken down?
Can man join Christ above?
Can man retrieve his glory crown?
And fellowship with love!

For man to dwell the Promised Land
For man to climb God’s hill
True unity must come to stand
We need to do God’s will

We need the fellowship of Christ
We need a love that’s pure
For this God’s Lamb was sacrificed
That man would reap the cure…PTO…
