Alone Again Poem by Zachary Stefanski

Alone Again

by my father
Thomas stefanski

I gave you my heart in the palm of your hands

You can feel my heart beat

With the prospect of being your man

People come and people go, like the leaves when they blow

But your special to me, and theirs something I need you to know

My heart aches for you, forever in my dreams

A match made in heaven, at least that’s how it seems

I’m thinking of you, are you thinking of me?

Is this all one-sided? Do you just want to flee?

I miss you so much, I want you so bad

Not being with you today, makes me more than just sad

I hope you can give me a sign of your love

Before I just give up…and fly like a dove

You hate the word LOVE

You despise the word WED

Do you really want to be alone?

Or be with someone who adores you instead?

I wear my heart on my sleeve…it’s easy to see

Where do you keep your heart?

I’d be honored if it were with me

My feelings are for real…I can’t bare your doubt

I’m kind, honest and sweet, and that’s all I’m about!
