Altered Reality Poem by Sarah Pesta

The past has become faded in my mind
At times the memories of what I want to forget
Come at times where I feel like nothing can be changed

I don't know why things don't go as predicted
Or why an event can be done over again
Everything happens for a reason it seems

Whenever I want a time to be erased
I know I can't be there again
The day was everything that should never have happened

Now I'm in the present and things are the same
What has started in the past
Is still affecting me in my reality
