If everything is against you,
and everything seems so wrong
don't get lost in thought forever,
just promise you'll hold on

You must have a million fears
which cannot be undone
If you think you're all alone,
then I've taken care of one

I don't hold any answers,
or know the right thing to say
All I know is that I'm here to listen
any time of any day...

It's not much consolation,
just reassurance so you know
You're my friend and I love you
and I'll never let that go

I'm in it for the good times,
but I live for all the sad
You can't have a good friendship
without any bad...

So I'm up for the ride,
the struggle through the end
Always and forever...
