Amazon Road Poem by Asher Proschansky

Amazon Road

Almost heaven
Lake Mohegan
Big Bear Mountain
Cool Hudson River

Asher's soul is there
Older than some trees
younger than the mountain
But growing like the breeze

Amazon Road
Take me home
To the place I belong
Lake Mohegan
Small Bass mamma
Take me home
Amazon Road

All my memories
gather around her
finest lady
Stranger to mediocre

Beautiful sunsets
Blazing in the sky
Air is overpowering Malaga
My mamas beautiful sigh

I hear her voice
In the morning
How she calls me
Don't worry Asher
I won't be faraway

Driving down the Hudson
To teach my class
I'll be back to stay
No! I'll stay today! ! !

Amazon Road
Take me back
to place I belong
Lake Mohegan
Country Mama
TAKE ME HOME
AMAZON ROAD! ! ! ! !
