Ambience Poem by Alexander Foald

Ambience

A night so cold and sour, inside the palm of my hand
But it’s summer and winter, when you take it over
A day so long and patient, deliberate outright the logical term
But it’s furious and mad car, as you pull it altogether

A mouth so loud and foul, trembles in my breathing
But it’s quiet and cool, when it kisses your redeeming lips
An eye so greedy and selfish, always looking for my mistakes
But it’s shy and closing in, when it sees your fantasizing image

A mind so bright and cultivated, thinks big for its knowledge
But it’s a stiff and lame computer, when you outsmart its skill
A heart so arrogant and untamed, dwells within pride to its edge
But it’s bloomed and lovely, as you provide a space to fill
