America Poem by Madi Lynn

America

Through all the wars,
Toils, dangers, and fears
America's been there,
A pinnacle of strength
Fearless and courageous
Ready to accept
Those of all races
Immigrants come from all around
To have the joys America has bound
So many have died
To protect this great land
Along with those of other countries
Who were just trying to lend us a hand
We remember our troops who are in combat
Armed and ready for war
Though men can be corrupt
Our country is built strong
On the Word of God
With prayers going up to the Lord
From thousands of tongues
Asking
'Please God, protect this great nation,
Show us your love,
Foil the plans of our enemies,
Protect our troops,
And guide our leaders.
In your glorious name we pray,
Amen.'
