An Act Poem by Lindsay Griffo

An Act

Rating: 5.0

To put on an act
An act thats so exact.
Everyday I wake
And that smile I have to fake.
They don't know what I have to hide
How I really feel inside.
Putting away with my pride.
At night I fall apart
Knowing tomorrow the act has to start.
It's eating away at my heart.

Hmmmmm...now this one is good too. Lots of hidden meaning in this one. I can relate all too well, to the false smile. I think your poems are really good. I also think writing them can be very therapeutic... a way to express things that maybe you have kept inside. We all tend to do that ya know? ? When I read your poems, I think, wait, when did Lindsay grow up? ? Very wise words...very intense feelings. An old soul in a young body perhaps. Excellent writing Lindsay. Keep writing...You are onto something good. Let me know when you write more! ! !
