An Angel From The Library Poem by Sesan Falade

An Angel From The Library

Note filled with penned lines
Brain needing brush-ups
To the library, I journeyed
Next to an Angel, I seated

Angel's Face glows
Note content fades
Gaze divorced Note
Marries an innocent face

'Crowned' by first name
'Joyfully-wealthy' by last name
Endowed and impeccable
Reason to call her Angel

Mind lost to her visage
Heart raced between voices
With courteous innocence, Angel robs,
My heart and Mind, nearly lost

Days grew into weeks
Weeks piled into Months
Erasing Mind never works,
Angel's thought never fades

Affection-battle began
Heart got shot
No where to fall
Only in love

Blank pages of heart flips
Only Angel holds the pen
Is Angel really going to write?
Only heavens could tell

'A hungry lion', Angel sniffed
Door to heart, Angel shut
Never gonna hurt, lion-me roared,
Eardrum tunnels, Angel blocked

Heart falls in bleakness
Hope feels the gloominess.
Bees give honey i thought,
...But Angel's bee stings a lot

The Angelic Love i crave
Builds castles in the air
undaunted! Hope I could fake
But its such a hard pill to take

shied away from the green
Red light! Angel flashed
Angel's line, unreachable
Thoughtless mind, unfeasible

Moonstruck over in mind
Emotion grows in bloom
Loving heart cries for help
But Angel gives no hoot

Face goes blue
Eyes turn red
Injured birds still fly?
...Not with broken wings

Dreamer is my name
Named after my emotions
Days of love had waned
When will i ever wake?

Tears well up my eyes
No one feels my pain
Big boys don't cry
I choke back my tears.
