An End To Our World Poem by Dulan Kumarasiri

An End To Our World

As the sunlight shimmers,
And the happy water glitters.
The trees breathe a sigh of relief
The pain devastating but brief.
The blanket of the sky is stable
And goes on, just like life is able
To persevere, as it always has.

The animals will have plenty to eat
The plants and fruits, the fish and meat,
And they'll be saved from blithering heat.
And a fate they never meet.
They will prance free with delight.
And rule the day and night.
There will be no bounds or range,
They will evolve and change.
As it's nature's nature
To persevere, as it always has.

Perhaps creatures that would've been dead,
Would roam free and wild.
There would be no fear or dread,
It would seem as if all the world smiled.
The hills would roll on
And every mountain a beautiful spire,
And every beauty that would spawn
In a free world, not the dire
One that was left behind.

Many would relax and bask
In the beautiful world that they've been given
And some inquisitive who remain will ask
'Who would want this great world riven? '
