An Essay On Social Media: In Conclusion, " Poem by Olawale Owoeye

An Essay On Social Media: In Conclusion, "

Therefore, the essay reflects
In the cloudy sky of its eyes
That internet in its lilly-garden of addiction becomes
Pregnant of deceits and foolishness
To be unraveled by your restless fingers that
Knock on the psychopathic head of data

Ask me not, why I am so impatient
As a concluding part of the essay

Ask me not the body that munches on the thoughts in your mind,
Nor the introduction that greases your nerves.

Have you forgotten of your last comment?
On Instagram or Twitter?
That tears the cloths of criticism, caressing
It's nudity and breasts?

That sap the taste of someone's honey
By adding too much salt?

Or the one
You stripped and drove out of
Purpose to sooth your boredom?

Ask me not, or I will tell you.
In other words, I an full enough to
Liaise your sensitisation.
